Dinner tonight was a culinary feast at Restaurante Gran'gula just up the street from our Airbnb. Our waiter, Ivandro, provided excellent service. We tried multiple menu items and all were prepared perfectly and tasted delicious! All portions were substantial. We highly recommend this restaurant. If we were staying longer, we would come back to try more menu items.

This place came recommended from a receptionist at our hotel and it didn't disappoint! The service was exceptional without pretense and the food was exquisite. We had the melon soup, black pork neck and (naturally) the cod, as well as two desserts -- the beijinho and the best lava cake that we've tried in recent memory. Worth the price, I think.

The food was ok. The fresh cod was a little bit oily and it shows in the picture. My wife's steak was really good. The desert with pumpkin was incredible. What saves the review for a 5 star was the great service offered by Ivandro. Very pleasant, knowledgeable. At the end, we liked the place

Gran’gula was the best meal we have had in Portugal on our two week trip. I was searching everywhere for tuna and this place, was the tuna of my dreams!! It was so delicious that I could have cried! I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere and food, immaculate. You will not be disappointed.

Wow!!! We have just had the MOST amazing experience here! The food, the service, the atmosphere was amazing! We are only here for a short time and want to try lots of different places but we will be back before we go, the tuna starter and the black pork main are some of the best dishes we've had in a while, and we eat out ALOT! We had a great experience last night in this hidden gem. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The baby goat roast and the risotto were amazing.

We were drawn to this lovely little restaurant by the inviting atmosphere as we walked by. We were welcomed by the owner and had a lovely dining experience. My wife had the kid (goat) and I had the mushroom/shrimp risotto. I was introduced to Portuguese 'green' wine, which was much like a savignon blanc and was a perfect accompaniment to my meal. Lovely surroundings, friendly service and good food.
